Job summary

Western Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) to join the ICU team. You will collaborate with the Education team to provide clinical facilitation, supervision, and liaison to Intro to ICU, post-graduate nurses and students across Western Health sites.

The role requires RN registration with APHRA, postgraduate critical care qualifications, and extensive ICU experience, with a focus on nursing education and leadership within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia with APHRA and post graduate qualifications in critical care nursing (preferably Intensive Care).
• Five years post registration in acute clinical settings with three years minimum in an ICU setting.
• Experience in nursing education and training delivery, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and motivate learners and staff in the provision of high quality, evidence based and culturally safe clinical nursing.
• Act as a positive role model, mentor and clinical resource through the development, implementation and evaluation of learners in supported programs.
• Provide clinical guidance and consultation on a regular basis.
• Ensuring that the design and delivery of education and learning activities are informed and evaluated by established adult learning theory.
