Job summary

XSP Consulting is seeking an experienced ICT Support Officer to provide frontline, customer-focused ICT support for an Australian Government client in Barton, ACT. The role is full-time, 100% onsite, and initially for 3 months with potential extension.

• Experience in Australian Government environment is highly regarded.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Australian Government Baseline security clearance.

ICT Support Officer to provide frontline, customer-focused ICT support for an Australian Government client in Barton, ACT.

This is an initial 3-month contract, with a potential 3-month extension, commencing around 7 September 2026. The role is full-time and 100% onsite.

The role

You will work within a Business Systems team to support staff in Australia and overseas, ensuring reliable day-to-day ICT services and a positive user experience.

• Responding to helpdesk requests and resolving routine hardware, software and access issues
• Providing professional, responsive desktop and end-user support
• Maintaining accurate service records, documentation and ticket updates
• Supporting the deployment, configuration and lifecycle management of ICT equipment
• Assisting with operational ICT activities and broader technology projects
• Communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What we’re looking for

• Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week
• Level: APS5-equivalent
