Job summary

Lime Recruitment is currently assisting a large Queensland Government client in Brisbane to recruit an experienced ICT Procurement Specialist. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, contracting and commercial advice for a multi-year transformation program, with hybrid working and contract to 07/05/2027 plus six months extension.

You will develop procurement plans, manage tenders, apply QITC and other frameworks, negotiate fit-for-purpose contracts and oversee supplier performance, milestones

Qualifications

• Experience developing, negotiating and managing ICT contracts using QITC.
• Strategic ICT procurement experience across sourcing strategy, market engagement, tendering and commercial negotiation.
• Experience managing complex ICT or professional services contracts through delivery, including supplier performance and milestone payments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement to balance delivery priorities with governance and commercial requirements.
• Experience applying Queensland Procurement Policy 2026 to planning, sourcing, evaluation and contracting.

Lime Recruitment is currently working with a large Queensland Government client to recruit an experienced ICT Procurement Specialist. In this role you will deliver strategic ICT sourcing, contracting and commercial advice for a multi-year public-sector transformation program.

Key Responsibilities

Develop strategic sourcing approaches and procurement plans aligned with delivery priorities, dependencies and commercial risks.

Collaborate with procurement colleagues and project stakeholders, providing commercial advice and representing procurement at governance forums.

Plan procurement activities, conduct market research and engagement, and refine specifications, statements of work and deliverables.

Develop tender documentation and evaluation plans and administer market approaches and evaluations with probity and clear decision records.

Apply QITC, GITC and General Goods and Services frameworks to develop appropriate contract arrangements and documentation.

Develop and negotiate fit-for-purpose contracts covering deliverables, acceptance criteria, payment milestones, supplier obligations, risk and commercial requirements.

Manage contract performance, milestone payments, variations, extensions, commercial issues and transition or exit arrangements.

About You

Practical experience developing, negotiating and managing ICT contracts using QITC.

Strategic ICT procurement experience spanning sourcing strategy, market engagement, tendering, evaluation and commercial negotiation.

Experience managing complex ICT or professional services contracts through delivery, including supplier performance, milestone payments, variations and issue resolution.

Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, with the ability to balance delivery priorities, governance and commercial requirements.

Sound judgement in identifying, managing and escalating procurement and contractual risks.

Practical experience applying the Queensland Procurement Policy 2026 to planning, sourcing, evaluation and contracting, including documenting value‑for‑money outcomes.

Experience supporting complex transformation programs or sourcing digital, data, AI, automation or professional services is desirable.
