Job summary

Goodstart Early Learning is seeking an ICT Infrastructure Engineer in Brisbane to design, support and optimise our Microsoft cloud platforms. This hands-on role focuses on Azure, Entra ID and Intune with responsibilities for security, policy management, automation and hybrid infrastructure support.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in enterprise infrastructure, direct experience with the listed technologies, and strong scripting/automation skills to help advance Goodstart’s technology

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, with hands-on Azure/Entra ID/Intune
• Experience configuring and administering these technologies directly
• Strong understanding of identity and access management and cloud security
• Experience with infrastructure lifecycle management and automation

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, maintain and optimise Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune environments
• Manage identity, access, security and device management incl. Conditional Access and Intune policies
• Design, test and rollout infrastructure changes securely and reliably
• Support hybrid infrastructure across Azure, on‑premises, Meraki SD-WAN
• Troubleshoot incidents and performance issues across cloud and enterprise environments
• Automate operations using scripting, IaC and Azure DevOps
• Support patching, monitoring, backups and disaster recovery

We are seeking ICT Infrastructure Engineers to help design, support and optimise the critical technology platforms that keep Goodstart connected, secure and ready for the future.
This is a hands-on infrastructure role suited to someone who is actively working across Microsoft Azure, Entra ID and/or Intune and enjoys getting into the detail of configuration, troubleshooting, security, policy management and automation. You'll have the opportunity to apply your infrastructure expertise in a purpose-driven organisation while working with modern cloud technologies and contributing to the ongoing uplift of Goodstart's technology environment.

Your Impact

• Build, configure, maintain and optimise Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune environments
• Implement and manage identity, access, security and device management, including Conditional Access and Intune policies
• Design, test and roll out infrastructure and policy changes, ensuring solutions are secure, reliable and fit for purpose
• Support hybrid infrastructure across Azure, on-premises environments and Meraki SD-WAN
• Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents, performance issues and service requests across cloud and enterprise environments
• Automate and improve infrastructure operations using scripting, Infrastructure-as-Code and Azure DevOps
• Support patching, monitoring, backups, disaster recovery and vulnerability remediation
• Work with internal ICT teams, vendors and managed service providers to deliver reliable technology services
• Contribute to infrastructure uplift, continuous improvement and Goodstart’s technology roadmap

You'll Bring To The Table

• 5+ years’ experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, with recent, hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure, Entra ID and/or Intune
• Demonstrated experience personally configuring and administering these technologies, rather than primarily managing or coordinating them
• Strong understanding of identity and access management, Conditional Access, device management and cloud security
• Experience designing, testing and implementing technology policies and configuration changes, including considering user impact
• Strong troubleshooting, scripting and automation skills
• Experience across hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments
• Experience with infrastructure lifecycle management, monitoring, patching, backup and disaster recovery
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Exposure to Microsoft Defender, Meraki, Azure DevOps, LogicMonitor or ServiceNow will be highly regarded
• Willingness to obtain a Queensland Blue Card
• Willingness to obtain a Certificate of Completion for the National Child Safety Foundation Training
