Job summary

Jacobs seeks an ICT Infrastructure Designer to contribute to complex projects within the Defence and Federal Government sectors. The position can be based in the Brisbane or Sydney office.

Responsibilities include developing designs across the full lifecycle, providing construction support, translating requirements with clients, and coordinating with engineers and other specialists to align with Defence standards. The role supports hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Information Technology or Telecommunications Engineering qualification, or 10+ years relevant telecommunications infrastructure design experience.
• Experience with Defence, Government, major construction or infrastructure projects as a consultant.
• Strong verbal and written communication for client-facing environments across broad stakeholder groups.
• CAD and/or BIM experience preferred.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must be an Australian citizen).

About the Role

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Information Technology or Telecommunications Engineering qualification, or 10+ years relevant telecommunications infrastructure design experience.
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably working with clients in Defence, Government, major construction or infrastructure projects as a consultant.
• Confident verbal communicator in client-facing environments, excellent written communication skills and the ability to engage successfully across broad and complex stakeholder groups.
• CAD and or BIM experience preferred.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
