Job summary

Utility Market Australia Pty LTD T/A Utility Market is seeking a motivated ICT Business Analyst in Clayton, VIC to support development, optimisation and maintenance of its business information systems and digital platforms.

You will gather requirements, model processes, translate needs into functional specs and work with developers to implement efficient ICT solutions across electricity, gas, broadband, solar and health insurance services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant ICT business analysis experience.
• Knowledge of BA methodologies, requirements gathering, process modelling and SDLC.
• Experience documenting functional requirements, system specs and supporting testing/implementation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with data analysis and project management tools, plus user acceptance testing.

Responsibilities

• Consult with management, users and stakeholders to gather, analyse and document business requirements for digital platforms and internal information systems.
• Analyse existing business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, process maps, use cases, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Analyse requirements relating to online comparison services for electricity, gas, broadband, solar and health insurance.
• Work with developers and technology providers to communicate requirements and support implementation of solutions.
• Assist in planning and coordinating ICT projects, including requirements, deliverables, timelines and activities.
• Develop test plans and test cases, coordinate user acceptance testing, identify defects and verify solutions meet requirements.
• Prepare and maintain business requirements documents, system specifications, process documentation, user guides and testing reports.
• Evaluate existing systems and recommend enhancements and integrations to support changing needs.
• Support system implementation, stakeholder communication, user training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Task & responsibilities

Qualification & experience

• Knowledge of business analysis methodologies, requirements gathering, process modelling and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Experience analysing business processes, documenting functional requirements, preparing system specifications and supporting software testing and implementation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Familiarity with data analysis, project management tools and user acceptance testing.
