Job summary

Paxus seeks an experienced Solution Architect to lead the modernisation of a complex IDAM environment in Australia. You’ll translate business, security and operational requirements into practical, scalable solutions while guiding project teams, vendors and technology stakeholders.

You will provide architecture guidance, design IDAM processes and develop TCO estimates, roadmaps and strategic target states. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on implementation in a senior Enterprise

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Solution Architecture and IDAM.
• Demonstrated experience designing identity, authentication and access management solutions.
• Strong understanding of cloud and on-premises architecture.
• Experience with architecture frameworks, standards, patterns and governance.
• Strong systems integration and enterprise technology experience.
• Experience developing solution options, architecture documents, roadmaps and TCO estimates.
• Strong understanding of security, availability, disaster recovery and non-functional requirements.
• Experience reviewing vendor designs and providing technical direction.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with Enterprise Architects, technical teams and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the modernisation of the IDAM environment and define future-state architecture.
• Gather and translate security, operational, architectural and strategic requirements into practical solutions.
• Provide architecture guidance to projects delivering improvements across identity and access management.
• Design and improve IDAM processes, controls, architecture patterns and technology solutions.
• Develop solution options and recommendations, assessing security, availability, complexity, supportability and cost.
• Prepare 5-year Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) estimates to support technology decisions.
• Develop Solution Architecture Definitions, including integration, infrastructure, networking, deployment, availability and disaster recovery considerations.
• Provide strategic input into target states, technology roadmaps and transformation initiatives.
• Review vendor designs, technical specifications and tender responses against agreed architecture.
• Prepare technical input, including non-functional requirements, for procurement activities.
• Contribute to Architecture Review Board submissions, standards, patterns and architecture exceptions.
• Provide independent technical oversight and guidance to vendors, service providers and operational teams.

About You

You’ll be an experienced Solution Architect with strong expertise in Identity and Access Management, capable of moving comfortably between strategic architecture and practical implementation.
