Job summary

Origin Energy is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to live and work in the Maranoa region with a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off roster. You will maintain and troubleshoot critical electrical and instrumentation equipment across gas assets, supporting safe, reliable operations and continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates have Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and Instrumentation & Control, HV experience, and a current Queensland Electrical Licence, with experience in the

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and a current Queensland Electrical Licence.
• Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control or equivalent instrumentation trade qualification.
• Experience maintaining and fault-finding electrical and instrumentation equipment within the oil and gas industry.
• Hazardous Area (EEHA/HAZ Area) certification and experience working in regulated environments.
• Exposure to high voltage systems, with HV qualifications or operational experience highly regarded.

• Maintain, test and troubleshoot critical electrical and instrumentation equipment across operational gas assets.
• Support commissioning, preventative maintenance and reliability improvement activities.
• Contribute to a strong safety culture through permit-to-work, JSA and hazardous area practices.
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver safe, efficient and reliable operations.

As an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician with Origin's Integrated Gas team, you'll play a hands‑on role maintaining and troubleshooting critical field equipment that supports safe and reliable energy production. What will you bring?
