Job summary

George Weston Foods Limited is seeking a Hygiene & Site Services Manager for our Chullora bakery in NSW. You will lead the Hygiene team and oversee key site services, ensuring top hygiene, food safety and operational excellence in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, you will drive continuous improvement, manage contractors, pest control, chemical safety and site compliance while partnering with operations to optimise labour and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' leadership experience within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, hygiene and food safety requirements.
• Demonstrated success building a positive safety culture and driving safe work practices.
• Experience leading teams, managing performance and developing capability.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Continuous improvement mindset with proven problem-solving capability.
• Ability to influence outcomes, navigate change and build relationships across operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Hygiene team while overseeing pest control, chemical management, sanitation programs and security.
• Manage site services including contractors and site compliance activities.
• Support site audits, GMP programs and quality initiatives while maintaining hygiene standards.
• Deliver labour efficiency and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvement.
• Develop SOPs, risk assessments and training programs for hygiene activities.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles to improve site performance.
