  • Collaborate with architects, builders, engineers and consultants for project outcomes

The Opportunity

As a Hydraulic Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality hydraulic designs across a variety of building and infrastructure projects while working closely with clients, architects, builders, consultants and internal stakeholders.

You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from concept design through to completion, providing technically sound and practical solutions while continuing to develop your engineering capability within an experienced and supportive team.

This role provides an excellent platform for an engineer looking to expand your technical expertise, take greater ownership of projects and develop the leadership skills required to progress into a future Team Leader role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver hydraulic engineering designs across a range of building and infrastructure projects
  • Prepare detailed hydraulic documentation, drawings, specifications and reports
  • Design and coordinate hydraulic services including sanitary plumbing, drainage, stormwater and associated systems
  • Collaborate with architects, builders, engineers and consultants to achieve successful project outcomes
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders throughout design and delivery stages
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian Standards, NCC requirements and authority guidelines
  • Assist with project coordination, technical reviews and design management
  • Contribute to improving design processes, systems and engineering standards
  • Support junior engineers and contribute to a positive team environment
About You

Ideally, you will have:

  • Proven experience as a Hydraulic Design Engineer within a building services consultancy environment
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic services design, documentation and project delivery
  • Experience designing hydraulic systems across commercial, residential or infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, NCC requirements and industry practices
  • Strong capability with hydraulic design software and technical documentation tools
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with clients and project stakeholders
  • A proactive approach with the ambition to develop into a leadership role

Candidates with experience mentoring junior engineers, managing projects or taking ownership of design outcomes will be highly regarded.
