Job summary

Isle of Wight Council is seeking a part-time Trainee Revenues and Benefits Officer to join their busy Benefits team in Ryde, supporting the billing, assessment, collection and recovery of Council Tax, Housing Benefit and Local Council Tax Support.

The role is office based with potential for agile or remote working, offering a pro-rata salary within Career Grade 3-6 (£26,017 to £29,071 per annum) and actual salary £17,227.47 to £19,249.72.

Qualifications

• Experience in revenues and benefits processing desirable.
• Understanding of Council Tax, Housing Benefit and Local Council Tax Support operations desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support billing, assessment, collection and recovery of Council Tax and benefits.
• Assist with annual benefit reviews and entitlement checks.
• Provide customer support and information to residents on revenues and benefits.
