Epicor seeks a Database Administrator to help maintain SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments, ensuring availability, security, and performance. You will work with experienced database, cloud, DevOps, and application teams to maintain reliable and scalable systems.

This role is well suited for someone building their database administration career with a strong technical foundation, a willingness to learn, and an interest in cloud platforms, automation, migrations, and database reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL in production environments.
• Knowledge of backups, recovery, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with high availability and DR concepts.
• Experience on Windows or Linux systems and public cloud familiarity.
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash) and automation awareness.
• Understanding of database security, access controls, and governance.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and collaborative skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.
• Assist with installations, upgrades, and routine maintenance.
• Participate in migrations, including cloud and cross-platform moves.
• Manage backups, replication, clustering, and DR processes.
• Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and availability issues.
• Support database security and access governance.
• Contribute to automation with Ansible, GitHub Actions, and scripts.
• Collaborate with development, cloud, and DevOps teams on DB requirements.
• Maintain documentation and database standards.
