Job summary

Epicor is hiring a Database Administrator to maintain availability, security, and performance of SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments. You will collaborate with DevOps, cloud, and application teams to ensure scalable systems and reliable operations.

You will contribute to automation with Ansible and GitHub Actions while learning new database technologies and standards. A blend of on-site and remote work is supported within a hybrid model.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SQL Server and PostgreSQL maintenance, tuning, and backups.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts, indexing, backups, and recovery.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Azure, and on-premises-to-cloud migrations.
• Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Good problem solving, communication, and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.
• Assist with installations, configuration, upgrades, and patching.
• Participate in migrations including on-premises-to-cloud and SQL Server-to-PostgreSQL.
• Manage backup, recovery, replication, clustering, and DR.Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and availability issues.
• Assist with security, access controls, auditing, and governance.
• Contribute to automation using Ansible, GitHub Actions, and scripting.
• Collaborate with application development, cloud, and DevOps teams.
