Job summary

The University in Melbourne is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer for a fixed-term contract from December 2026 to July 2027. The role is hybrid, with three days in the office.

You will design, develop, test and support ABAP solutions for SAP ECC and S/4HANA, build reports, interfaces, forms and workflows, and implement SAPUI5/Fiori applications. You will also develop REST/SOAP and OData services, conduct ATC checks, resolve production issues and document technical work while working with

Qualifications

• 5+ years as an SAP ABAP Developer.
• Strong OO ABAP, ALV, BAdIs and Enhancement Framework, SmartForms, Adobe Forms or SAPscript.
• Integration experience with RFC/BAPI, IDocs, XML/JSON, and middleware such as MuleSoft, SAP CPI or Dell Boomi.
• SAPUI5, Fiori and SAP Gateway/OData development experience.
• Clear communicator, comfortable working with business stakeholders.
• Higher education experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and support ABAP solutions across SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
• Build reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms and workflows.
• Develop SOAP and REST services, OData services via SAP Gateway, and middleware integrations.
• Develop SAPUI5 and Fiori applications.
• Run code reviews and S/4HANA compatibility checks using ATC.
• Resolve production issues and maintain technical documentation.
