Job summary

carsales is seeking a Commercial Analyst (Sales) to turn sales data into actionable insights, build reporting and dashboards, and support forecasting with sales leaders. You’ll translate data into practical actions that boost productivity and revenue, while partnering with the sales and leadership teams.

The role operates in a hybrid model, with flexible options to support work‑life balance and career growth at carsales.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years experience in a sales analyst, commercial analyst, sales operations or business analyst role.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets and BI/visualisation skills.
• Experience working with CRM platforms (Salesforce) to extract and analyse data.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate data into recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with senior leaders.
• High attention to detail and data integrity.
• SQL or other data querying skills.
• Experience supporting sales incentive/commission scheme administration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain sales performance dashboards and reporting suites.
• Prepare regular performance packs and ad hoc analysis for weekly/monthly reporting.
• Support monthly/quarterly forecasting and target setting with sales leaders.
• Support design and tracking of incentive/commission schemes for accuracy.
• Identify data/process inefficiencies and propose improvements.
• Maintain data integrity across CRM and reporting systems.
• Continuously improve reporting tools, templates and processes.
• Provide commercial analysis to support pricing, deals and margins.
• Collaborate with sales, finance, marketing and customer support for aligned reporting.
