Job summary

City of Moreton Bay seeks a Principal Planner – Biodiversity to lead strategic biodiversity policy and environmental planning. You will manage complex projects, guide teams, and advise on legislative requirements while building strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience shaping biodiversity outcomes with long-term policy, planning and program design.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to setting strategic direction in biodiversity and environmental planning for City of Moreton Bay.
• Lead development and delivery of complex biodiversity policy and planning outcomes, including management of project teams.
• Provide expert advice on legislative, policy and corporate requirements to support informed decisions.
• Collaborate to deliver aligned biodiversity planning program outcomes across the team.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives.
• Act as departmental delegate and advocate for biodiversity outcomes across projects.

Education

Degree in environmental planning, biodiversity or related discipline
