Job summary

Deakin University is seeking a Coordinator, Primary Prevention to advance gender-based violence prevention and equity initiatives across campuses such as Geelong and Burwood. The role sits within the Equity & Inclusion team and drives education, engagement and policy-aligned activities.

You will lead projects from planning through delivery, collaborating with academic and professional units to embed best practice prevention approaches, with a focus on creating respectful, inclusive campus

Qualifications

• Degree in education, social work, public health, behavioural science, psychology, or related field.
• Strong experience in program and project management in a complex organisation.
• Knowledge of primary prevention approaches related to gender-based violence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver education, awareness and engagement initiatives that promote respectful, inclusive and safe environments
• Support the implementation of strategic prevention activities aligned with national reforms and legislative requirements
• Lead and coordinate projects from planning through to delivery and evaluation
• Develop practical solutions and recommendations from complex legislation, policy and sector guidance
• Partner with stakeholders across academic and professional areas to drive engagement and embed best practice prevention approaches
• Contribute to the delivery of broader equity, inclusion, gender equity and prevention programs across the University
• Influence and communicate effectively with diverse audiences to support behavioural and cultural change
