PGP Consulting Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to support client engagements, prepare financial and tax deliverables, and contribute to advisory projects. You’ll work with senior team members to build your technical skills, foster client relationships, and gain exposure to a wide range of accounting and business matters.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years accounting experience in a multi-partner firm.
• CA/CPA journey completed or nearing completion.
• Experience with compliance for businesses and family groups: interim and year-end financial accounts; income tax returns for individuals & companies; quarterly BAS statements.
• Exposure to consulting/advisory services: budgeting, management reporting, external CFO services.
• Knowledge of Division 7A tax issues affecting private groups.
• Full Working Rights in Australia.
• Living and working in Melbourne.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounting and tax compliance work across a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Collaborate with clients to provide insights, improve business performance, and identify growth opportunities.
• Assist in preparing management reports, forecasts, and advisory deliverables delivering real value operationally.
• Work with FYI Docs, Business Fitness Active Workpapers, Xero, XPM and CAS360; training provided.
• Contribute ideas and champion improvements in processes, software, or systems.
• Embrace a dynamic, tech-driven environment and adapt to change for better outcomes.
