Job summary

Westfund is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead our People & Culture operations. Based in Lithgow with hybrid work options, you will oversee HR for around 240 staff across NSW and QLD, including employee relations, payroll, contracts and recruitment.

You’ll lead a team of five and partner with the Chief People Officer to shape practical HR processes and deliver timely advice to leaders and employees across the business.

About the opportunity

After ten years building Westfund's People & Culture function, the current Human Resources Manager is retiring at the end of the year. Civitas Talent has been retained to find their successor.

You’ll lead HR operations for around 240 people across 12 locations in New South Wales and Queensland, covering employee relations, industrial relations, contracts, payroll and recruitment. You report to Bill Sheffield, Chief People Officer, and lead a team of five: Payroll Manager, Payroll Officer, Recruitment Lead, People & Culture Coordinator and Human Resources Coordinator.

This is a hands‑on leadership role. You’ll have a capable team to delegate to, and you’ll also own matters yourself from first conversation through to resolution. You’ll contribute to People & Culture strategy with the CPO, but most of the job is practical: sound advice, well‑run processes and being there for leaders and employees when it counts.
