Job summary

Connect One Recruitment is recruiting a Functional Tester for a large Canberra-based government organisation. The role focuses on planning, designing, executing and reporting testing across enterprise applications and integrations to ensure business requirements are met before deployment.

The incumbent will plan and execute functional, integration, regression and UAT testing, develop test artefacts and manage defects, while coordinating SIT and supporting UAT with stakeholders and vendors.

Qualifications

• Experience in functional testing, SIT, regression testing and UAT support, including testing REST APIs and system integrations.
• Demonstrated experience developing test cases, test scripts, test plans and traceability matrices, with strong defect management and analytical skills.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira or similar test management tools, Agile delivery environments and enterprise ICT transformation programs. ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute functional, integration, regression and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Develop test plans, test cases and test scripts; identify, analyse and manage defects.
• Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT), support UAT, and maintain requirements traceability while collaborating with business stakeholders, developers and vendors.
