Job summary

Babcock Australasia is seeking a Finance Analyst to support financial planning, forecasting and profitability analysis. You will develop and maintain financial models and dashboards, collaborating with project teams to drive insights and ensure data accuracy across systems.

The role requires Australian citizenship with the ability to obtain Defence security clearance, advanced Excel skills and experience with budgeting and forecasting cycles. A hybrid work arrangement is available.

Qualifications

• Australian citizenship with the ability to obtain Defence security clearance
• Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, data analysis or related disciplines
• CPA/CA qualification, or working towards it, is highly desirable
• Advanced Excel and modelling tools experience
• Experience with budgets, forecasts and actuals for variance analysis and insights

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards for planning and decision-making
• Analyze budgets, forecasts and actuals to identify trends and opportunities
• Conduct variance analysis with clear commentary for internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with operational teams to gather financial inputs and understand drivers
• Monitor key financial metrics and flag risks and anomalies
• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles with data consolidation and validation
• Ensure data accuracy across systems and reports
• Contribute to ad hoc financial analysis and reporting for project teams
