State Sport Centres Trust is seeking a Communications Officer to support wide-ranging communications with staff, patrons, hirers, sports organisations and government. This newly created role invites your specific skillset and passion areas to support SSCT’s communications functions.

Formación

• Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Tertiary qualifications, or working towards tertiary qualifications, in communications, media or journalism (or similar).
• Demonstrated writing, editing and proofing skills & an appropriate attention to detail.
• Demonstrated experience in writing and publishing online content including the management of social media channels.
• Working knowledge and understanding of Victorian Government accessibility, discoverability (search) and usability standards, or the ability to quickly acquire them.
• Experience in the use of visual and graphic design to support effective communication strategies.
• Sound stakeholder management skills including the ability to collaborate, negotiate and build trust with others.

Responsabilidades

• Produce and publish a wide variety of formal and informal communications across channels.
• Deliver content strategies for social media channels and the SSCT website; monitor performance and refine strategies.
• Apply consistent brand, style and tone; support style guide development and maintenance.
• Edit and proofread materials ensuring grammar and audience needs are met.
• Support systems enabling internal communication, including the intranet.
• Assist executive leadership with correspondence, presentations and written communications as required.
• Support the organisation’s response to media organisations including filming requests.
• Perform ad-hoc operational and administrative duties as required.
