Job summary

Parliament of Victoria is seeking a Systems Administrator to join the IT Platform Technology team. You will manage a hybrid cloud and on‑premises environment, covering Azure identity, backup with CommVault, and modern management with SCCM and Intune.

Reporting to the Platform Technology Lead, you will mentor colleagues, ensure 100% uptime, and translate complex technical issues for staff and Members of Parliament.

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in complex environments.
Proven experience with VMWare, CommVault, Azure and the Microsoft stack.
Hands-on with SCCM, Intune, Entra and ADFS.
Fluency in PowerShell and automation of business needs.
Ability to translate complex tech to staff and MPs; strong documentation.
Security focus with modern controls; relevant certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

Cloud & Identity Management: Azure Entra ID, ADFS; cloud optimisation and security.
Endpoint & Infrastructure: Maintain SCCM, Intune, VMware, storage and related facilities.
Automation & Scripting: Build scripts to streamline operations.
Data Integrity & Resilience: Design and maintain backup systems (CommVault).
Proactive Operations: Daily maintenance, monitoring, and risk assessment.
Technical Governance: Write specifications, as‑built docs, and standards.
