Job summary

Australian Red Cross in Sydney, NSW is seeking a Case Worker to support the NSW STPP, delivering individualised casework and safety planning for people who have experienced exploitation. The role is casual with hybrid work, two days in the office and one anchor day weekly.

You will assess complex needs, coordinate with partner agencies, and help clients set attainable goals while prioritising trauma-informed practice and cultural sensitivity.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree in Social Work or Social and Community.
• Experience providing high-quality, specialist casework and case management.
• Ability to assess complex client needs, conduct risk assessments, and develop safety plans.
• Demonstrated cultural competence with diverse backgrounds including migrants, asylum seekers and people who have experienced trauma.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised casework support to clients.
• Identify strengths and needs and assist in setting and attaining goals.
• Collaborate with other agencies to source appropriate support.
• Work across multiple programs and functions of the case work service delivery.
