Job summary

Yarra Valley Water is seeking a Testing Tech Lead - Asset Domain to provide technical leadership across testing activities, ensuring software is reliable, secure and ready for release. You will lead test planning and delivery, collaborate with developers, stakeholders and delivery partners, and drive automation to reduce manual effort.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in test automation strategy.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools listed above.
• Programming experience in Java or Python.
• Experience integrating automated testing into DevOps/CI–CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of IT SDLC and Quality Engineering practices.
• ISTQB Foundation Certification is mandatory.
• ISTQB Advanced Level in Test Automation Engineering is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan the transition from manual to automation-first testing.
• Lead and coordinate testing across the delivery lifecycle.
• Mentor the team and build automation capability.
• Engage with vendors and embed testing requirements in RFT/SoW documents.
