Job summary

Covetrus is seeking a Junior Accounts Payable Officer on a 6-month contract in Brisbane. You will join the Northgate team, supporting invoice processing, approvals, and AP records under the Accounts Payable Manager.

A finance-focused background with ERP/Excel skills and strong attention to detail is expected. The role requires reliable, flexible, and collaborative teamwork within a large, global finance group, with opportunities to contribute to improvements and learn in a head office

Qualifications

Experience in a finance-related role with exposure to Accounts Payable or Receivable processes.
Experience using an ERP or accounting system and strong MS Excel skills.
Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills when dealing with suppliers and stakeholders.
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Reliable and flexible to work in a changing, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage shared Accounts Payable inboxes and respond to high volumes of enquiries.
Support invoice approvals to ensure timely processing.
Assist with accurate processing, reconciliation, and maintenance of AP records.
Maintain electronic and paper filing for supplier master documentation.
High volume data entry of stock and operational invoices.
Contribute to process improvement projects as required.
