Job summary

ASM Chilltech is seeking skilled HVAC Technicians to join our service team in Canberra. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance across heating, cooling, refrigeration, and BMS systems, ensuring safety and efficiency across client facilities.

You will work with a modern company vehicle, quality tools, and a supportive team focused on safety, development, and career growth. Prior experience and a trade qualification are essential.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
• Minimum 2+ years' experience in a similar HVAC Technician role.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair HVAC equipment and systems.
• Current Driver's Licence and White Card (Construction Induction Card).
• Ability to respond quickly to changing service requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive HVAC maintenance across client facilities.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical defects and system malfunctions.
• Complete service reports and work orders within required timeframes.
• Ensure all works comply with WHS, environmental, and ASM Chilltech quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders.

The Role
ASM Chilltech is seeking skilled HVAC Technicians to join our growing service team, delivering high-quality mechanical maintenance, repairs, and servicing across client facilities.

In this role, you will provide planned and reactive HVAC maintenance across a range of systems including heating, cooling, refrigeration, chilled water systems, and building management systems (BMS). You'll work as part of a collaborative building services team to ensure systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with ASM Chilltech quality and compliance standards.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver planned and reactive HVAC maintenance across client facilities
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems
• Conduct fault finding, repairs, and upgrades across HVAC equipment and infrastructure
• Inspect and maintain chilled water systems and refrigeration equipment
• Ensure ventilation equipment and controls operate efficiently and continuously
• Inspect and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS) where required
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical defects and system malfunctions
• Complete service reports and work orders within required timeframes
• Ensure all works comply with WHS, environmental, and ASM Chilltech quality standards
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders

Your Education, Experience & Skills

• Trade qualification in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
• Minimum 2 plus years' experience in a similar HVAC Technician role
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair HVAC equipment and systems
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to respond quickly to changing service requirements
• Current Driver's Licence
• White Card (Construction Induction Card)
• Working knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) desirable
