Job summary

Modus Projects in Canberra is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to cover preventative and reactive maintenance across locations within Canberra and up to 300km. The role includes overtime, after-hours roster, and travel between job sites including Retail and Petroleum locations.

You will perform breakdowns, servicing and installations, with a dedicated head office coordinating your schedule; you will work with other technicians and project managers to deliver efficient HVAC projects.

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications in HVAC or refrigeration, such as Certificate III or IV in Airconditioning & Refrigeration.
• Current ARCtick National license for fluorocarbon refrigerants.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proven experience as an HVAC technician, preferably a background in commercial HVAC systems.
• A national police check and medical assessment will be part of the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

• Travel between various job sites daily, including Retail and Petroleum locations.
• Carry out breakdowns, servicing, preventative & reactive maintenance and installation on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Our dedicated head office team will manage your schedule, and you will have support from your own coordinator.
• Collaborate with other technicians, contractors, and project managers to complete HVAC projects efficiently and effectively.
• Ensure all work complies with local codes, regulations and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with team members and maintain clear communication with clients to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Keep accurate and detailed records of work performed, including reports and service documentation.
