Job summary

Advanced Aircon Design and Construct in Sydney is seeking a HVAC Mechanical Draftsperson to support the construction team with design development, drafting, and model creation. You will prepare 2D and 3D drawings for mechanical equipment, coordinate with engineers and production, and help standardize design documents while meeting tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the construction manager with tasks; maintain contact with clients, subcontractors and other parties through email and phone.
• Create technical drawings, manufacturing schematics, and 2D/3D models of mechanical equipment designs using measurements and specifications.
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers to verify design details and recommend modifications.
• Communicate with manufacturing personnel to create detailed layouts prior to production and assist in designing.
• Provide support by creating technical drawings and digital models within deadlines using multiple methods to ensure deliverables include all relevant design details.
• Assist in standardizing and unifying design document standards by participating in meetings and preparing presentation materials.

We are an established air conditioning company specialising in commercial sales and installations, as part of our continued growth and focus, we are looking for a HVAC Mechanical Draftspersonto start immediately.

Commencing immediately, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

The Mechanical Draftspersonwill assist the construction manager, this can be any number of tasks outlined below, you will also be asked to perform clerical duties, maintain contact with clients, subcontractors and other parties involved through email and phone calls, answering questions and prepare presentations and entering project data.

Reporting to the Construction Manager on the daily developing of projects

Create technical drawings, manufacturing schematics, and 2D and 3D digital models of mechanical equipment designs, using measurements, specifications, and additional data.

Combine all relevant data into coherent and complete initial design models for review and modification.

Coordinate directly with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements, verify design details and recommend modifications as needed.

Communicate with manufacturing personnel to create detailed layouts prior to production and assist in designing.

Provide support as needed by creating technical drawings and digital models within deadlines and utilizing multiple methods to ensure deliverables include all relevant design details.

Assist in ongoing project to standardize and unify design document standards by participating in meetings and preparing presentation materials as necessary.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to meet all deadlines

Skills:
