Job summary

Proton Power, part of the GenusPlus Group, seeks an experienced HV Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of high voltage electrical infrastructure across Australia. You will manage design, construction, testing, commissioning and handover, ensuring safety, schedule, cost and quality.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and stakeholders, and travel to project sites as needed. Minimum five years in HV project management and relevant qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• HV electrical infrastructure project management experience (min 5 years).
• Experience in utilities, energy, mining or major construction projects.
• Knowledge of HV switching, protection, cable installation and testing.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of high voltage electrical infrastructure projects.
• Manage programmes, budgets, resources, procurement and key milestones.
• Lead project and commissioning teams, subcontractors and consultants.
• Monitor performance against milestones, KPIs and contracts.
• Ensure safety, quality, design and client requirements.
• Identify risks and commercial issues; resolve delivery constraints.
• Maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders; support handover.

Job description

Proton Power is seeking an experienced HV Project Manager with strong High Voltage (HV) experience to lead the delivery of major electrical and energy infrastructure projects across Australia.

This role will oversee projects from design and construction through to testing, commissioning and handover, with responsibility for safety, scheduling, cost, quality and overall project performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of High Voltage electrical infrastructure projects.
• Manage project programmes, budgets, resources, procurement and key deliverables.
• Lead project, construction and commissioning teams, subcontractors and consultants.
• Monitor project performance against milestones, KPIs and contractual requirements.
• Ensure works comply with safety, quality, design and client requirements.
• Identify and manage project risks, commercial issues and delivery constraints.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Support testing, commissioning, energisation and project handover.

About You

• Minimum 5 years' Project Management experience within HV electrical infrastructure.
• Relevant Project Management, Engineering or technical qualification.
• Experience within utilities, energy, mining or major construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • HV switching and energisation
  • Protection systems
  • Cable installation, jointing and testing
  • Transformer installation and commissioning
  • Testing and commissioning
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong commercial, planning and stakeholder management skills.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Ability to travel to project sites as required.
