Job summary

Jacobs in Adelaide is seeking an Associate Primary Engineer to deliver High Voltage (HV) infrastructure projects across utilities, renewables, data centres and energy transition markets. You will work with HV specialists, take ownership of meaningful work, and grow technical and client-facing capability within a supportive team.

The role focuses on delivering primary substation designs (22kV-500kV), coordinating layouts, sections and equipment specs, and building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in HV Primary Engineering within transmission and distribution environments.
• Knowledge of Australian HV design standards and utility requirements.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Deliver primary substation designs and design reviews (22kV-500kV).
• Produce and review layouts, SLDs, sections and equipment specifications.
• Support project delivery across scope, schedule and quality objectives.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Civil, Structural and Secondary Engineering teams.
• Mentor developing engineers and contribute to technical excellence across the team.
