Job summary

Downer Group is offering an HV & Instrumentation Apprentice role in Melbourne, supporting CityLink, West Gate Freeway, M80 interchange and West Gate Tunnel. You'll work with experienced electricians, gaining hands-on exposure to high voltage, instrumentation, tunnel systems, ITS and tolling equipment while you complete your Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician).

Qualifications

• Completion of Year 10 or above.
• Genuine interest in the electrical trade.
• Current driver's licence or progressing towards one.
• Commitment to completing trade studies.
• Strong focus on safety.

• Flexibility to work occasional nights.

Responsibilities

• Learning alongside experienced electricians and technicians
• Gaining hands-on experience across HV, instrumentation, tunnel, ITS and tolling systems
• Assisting with planned electrical maintenance and emergency works
• Developing practical trade skills while completing your apprenticeship
• Participating in occasional night works and tunnel shutdowns under supervision
• Working safely and contributing to Downer's Zero Harm culture
