Beyond Electrical Engineering (BEE) is seeking an HV Technician to deliver safe, high‑quality HV inspection, testing, maintenance and commissioning across projects and client sites in Australia. You will work under the Service Team Lead, leading complex HV works and coordinating with project teams to manage risks and ensure compliance with standards.

The role demands hands-on HV expertise, ability to interpret drawings and protection settings, and strong focus on safety, quality and timely

Qualifications

• HV Switching Ticket / HV Operating Ticket.
• Willingness to travel to remote project and client site locations.
• Electrical trade qualification and demonstrated experience in high voltage environments.
• 3–5 years post-trade HV inspection, testing, maintenance, commissioning and fault-finding.
• Sound knowledge of HV equipment, systems and safe work practices including switching and test procedures.
• Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, protection settings and test manuals.
• Experience with electrical testing equipment and reporting.
• Identify hazards, assess risk and apply controls in high-risk electrical work.
• Commitment to safety, quality, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Responsabilités

• Perform HV inspection, testing, maintenance, commissioning and fault-finding on assets and systems.
• Work on switchgear, transformers, protection, cables and substations.
• Ensure switching, isolation and testing comply with legislation and procedures.
• Review test results and site conditions to support technical decisions.
• Support troubleshooting, fault response and return-to-service planning.
• Prepare accurate test reports, service records and commissioning docs.
• Contribute to job planning, outage prep and resource sequencing.
• Communicate progress, risks and issues clearly to the team and clients.
