Job summary

Fortescue Metals Group’s Solomon mine in Western Australia seeks a Heavy Vehicle Electrician (HME) to safely maintain and repair large-scale mining electrical equipment. You’ll report to the Cable Management Supervisor and ensure scheduled maintenance aligns with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities focus on high voltage electrical systems, fault finding, and supporting switching requirements across the cable management team.

Qualifications

• HV experience and knowledge of high voltage systems.
• HV Switching Ticket is required or beneficial.
• Able to work in small teams on critical path work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fault-find on high voltage electrical systems and equipment.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance and repairs on mining fleet.
• Ensure safety controls and compliance with inspection and testing intervals.
