Jacobs in Australia is seeking an Associate Cable Engineer to join our Energy & Power team. You will support the planning, design, and delivery of high‑voltage cable systems across Australia and the Asia Pacific region, helping deliver major power infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in EHV cable transmission networks.
• Understanding of AS/NZS, IEC, IEEE standards.
• Experience in development of business cases and development reports.
• Effective communication and problem solving ability.
• Ability to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary, geographically dispersed team.
• Willingness to pursue professional accreditation such as CPEng.

Responsibilities

• Support design and delivery of Extra High Voltage cable projects (underground and/or submarine).
• Contribute to development of design criteria, outputs, and documentation.
• Assist with technical reviews, QA, and standards compliance (AS/NZS, IEC, IEEE).
• Collaborate with civil, structural, environmental, and SCADA teams for integrated solutions.
• Attend client meetings and support coordination with contractors, OEMs, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to proposals, bids, and reports to support project delivery and growth.
• Mentor from senior engineers to build technical capability.
