Job summary

People & Purpose is building out its HR Business Partner function in Sydney. The role partners with a defined group of leaders to drive workforce planning, coaching, change and capability while managing day-to-day employee relations with support from a Workplace Relations Manager.

You will foster strong senior stakeholder relationships, provide commercial advice, and help shape how HR works as the team grows in a purpose-driven organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HRBP or senior HR generalist, ideally in a multi-site workforce.
• Solid employee relations experience and understanding of ER importance.
• Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and frontline teams.
• Commercial, hands-on approach in a fast-moving environment.
• Calm, clear and pragmatic when busy.

Job description

This organisation has recently been established through acquisition, and the People and Culture team is being built out right now. They are looking for capable HR Business Partners who want real ownership and the chance to help shape how HR works from the start.

The role

You will partner with your own group of key stakeholders and be their go to person for the day to day. That means building strong relationships, understanding what each leader is trying to achieve and adding value where it counts: workforce planning, leadership coaching, change and capability.

Employee relations is a real part of the role too. You will manage the everyday matters that come up with confidence and sound judgement. For the more serious and complex allegations, you will have the support of a specialist Workplace Relations Manager. It suits someone who values ER, and understands why it matters, and wants to do it well alongside the partnering work.

What you will do
