Position Title:

We are recruiting for a Human Resources Assistant to join our team. The DEQ Human Resources Assistant provides overall support to the human resources office. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing records and documents (such as personnel files), data entry, new-hire onboarding activities, coordinating FMLA requirements, maintaining reports and metrics, and assisting internal and external customers. This individual is integral to the team and requires strong skills in organizing workload, time management, managing multiple timelines, continuous process improvement, managing confidential and sensitive information, and customer service.

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current valid Driver’s License and clean driving record in accordance with State of Montana Vehicle Use Policy
  • Preferred experience in office support or customer service
