About the Role

We are seeking a HR Advisor to join our team and make a meaningful impact on our business and our people. This role is central to driving initiatives that align with our values, empowering employees, and creating a workplace where everyone can thrive.

Reporting to the Executive General Manager - Corporate Services and Business Improvement, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of our HR strategies across the organisation. This role is based in a convenient Brisbane Western Suburbs location.

Responsibilities

As a trusted partner to leaders and employees, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Offer expert guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Provide recommendations to improve workforce planning and succession strategies as well as expert advice on employment legislation, awards, and workplace policies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of IR strategies that align with organisational goals.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including developing job advertisements, screening candidates, facilitating interviews and assisting with onboarding.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, promote diversity and inclusion, and foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Coordinate programs that support employee well-being and mental health.
  • Develop, update, and implement HR policies to ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of HR projects, including learning and development programs, leadership development, and organisational change initiatives.
Requirements

We are looking for:

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a similar HR advisory role, with exposure to a broad range of HR functions.
  • Knowledge of the Manufacturing and Associated industries Award and Clerks Award 2020.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is highly advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, award interpretation and employment legislation.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
