Job summary

EPSA Group in Australia is seeking an HST Manager to lead health, safety, environment and training strategy across our mining operations. You will report to the Australian Country Manager and work with site leadership to embed robust HST systems.

You will drive risk-based decision making, lead investigations, manage WorkCover matters and oversee training programs for employees and contractors while building regulator relationships.

Qualifications

• Mandatory tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety or related field.
• Experience leading HST programs in mining or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of WHS regulations and training compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and continuous improvement of HST strategies and standards across Australian mining operations.
• Provide trusted HST advice and coaching to executive and site leadership teams.
• Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, training and mining legislation and internal standards.
• Lead incident investigations, audits, inspections and assurance activities with timely corrective actions.
• Oversee risk management, emergency preparedness, injury management and return-to-work processes.
• Manage training, competency and capability programs for employees and contractors.
• Build relationships with regulators, contractors and operational teams; monitor HST performance data.
• Manage HST resources, systems and budgets to deliver safe, compliant outcomes.
