About the role

With your experience, cultural authority and commitment to community, you can help shape how alcohol and other drug services support Aboriginal people across NSW.

The Manager, Alcohol and other Drugs (AOD) Aboriginal Health Outcomes Transformation Supports the delivery of strategic priorities that improve AOD health outcomes for Aboriginal people across NSW.

The role leads the implementation of transformation initiatives, partnerships and management of evidence based, strategic initiatives that drive NSW Health's commitment to ensuring Aboriginal people have access to holistic and culturally safe services that provide the best opportunity for improved health and social and emotional wellbeing outcomes.

The role also provides leadership and supervision to project staff and contributes specialist expertise in public sector policy, governance and program management to achieve strategic reform outcomes.

Lead strategic initiatives that improve Aboriginal AOD health outcomes across NSW.

Provide expert advice to support evidence-based policy, programs and system reform.

Drive collaboration and build strong partnerships between NSW Health, Aboriginal communities, Local Health Districts, Government agencies and key stakeholders in the health sector.

Support the Aboriginal Health Outcomes Transformation team to deliver high-quality programs and strategic priorities.

Drive effective governance, performance and accountability across funded initiatives.

About you:

Proven ability to build partnerships and work respectfully across Aboriginal communities and stakeholder settings.
