HSR/Safety Officer | Commercial Builder | 12 Month Contract (V-54740)

Location: Melbourne, Australia
Sector: Building & Construction
Salary: $50-$52 + super p/h (experience dependent)

We are currently working with one of Melbourne’s leading apartment builders in search of a dedicated Health and Safety Representative (HSR) who brings a solid background in construction, particularly with large scale commercial projects valued at $50m+. You will play a critical role in promoting and ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all workers on-site, working closely with project managers, supervisors, and the workforce to maintain a safety-first culture while supporting and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Effectively liaise with Project Managers to develop and implement site-specific safety plans.
  • Investigate any incidents on site, prepare reports and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements where required.
  • Ensure that the site is kept up to date on any changes to health and safety laws, regulations and industry standards.
About You
  • Certificate III in WHS at the very minimum.
  • Demonstrated experience of conducting site assessments, safety walks and toolbox meetings on commercial sites.
  • Experience with Hammertech highly desirable though not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to promoting a safety-first culture.
  • The project(s) are based around Metro Melbourne in the North and South East suburbs, so you will ideally live within a commutable distance of these areas.
