Job summary

A Catholic High School in Oak Flats is seeking a temporary full-time Classroom Teacher to mainly teach Human Society and Its Environment (HSIE) starting from 17 November 2025 until 19 December 2025. Applicants must demonstrate their commitment to Catholic education and possess appropriate teaching qualifications. The ideal candidate will effectively engage with students and the school community while creating a supportive learning environment.

Essential Selection Criteria
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
  • Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
  • Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in HSIE.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
  • Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.

Qualifications
  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area (s).
  • Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
  • The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.
