Job summary

Georges River College Oatley Senior Campus in the Sydney region is seeking a Teacher of Human Society and its Environment (HSIE) for Years 11–12. The role requires approval to teach HSIE, with capabilities in Legal Studies and Geography, and the ability to deliver differentiated HSIE programs across Stage 6 syllabuses.

Qualifications

• Approval to teach HSIE (Yrs 11 - 12), Legal Studies, Geography
• Demonstrated ability to design, implement and deliver engaging, differentiated HSIE teaching and learning programs across Stage 6 syllabuses to meet all student needs and aligned with the NSW HSIE Curriculums.
• Capacity to work collaboratively as an effective team member and contribute to whole school programs and initiatives.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community.

Responsibilities

• Provide HSIE instruction and assessment for Years 11-12 in a comprehensive co-educational high school setting.
• Deliver a diverse academic curriculum with focus on differentiation and NSW HSIE requirements.
• Contribute to whole-school programs and student wellbeing initiatives.
