Job summary

James Sheahan Catholic High School in Orange, NSW seeks an experienced HSIE Coordinator (2 Point) for a permanent full-time role commencing Term 1, 2026. You will lead HSIE delivery, mentor staff, and drive data-informed improvement while liaising with students, parents, and external partners.

Salary ranges from AUD 107,102 to AUD 153,398, depending on experience. The role requires strong leadership, a commitment to Catholic education, and capabilities in coordinating KLA teams and program

Qualifications

• As HSIE Coordinator, lead a KLA team and liaise with students, staff, parents and organisations on the HSIE curriculum.
• Demonstrate commitment to Catholic education and the school ethos.
• Promote a culture of effort, engagement and excellence for students.
• Show understanding of Professional Learning Communities and evidence-driven improvement.
• Possess appropriate qualifications and experience teaching Junior and Senior HSIE.
• Willing to undertake administrative, curriculum and supervisory duties.

Responsibilities

• Lead the effective organisation, coordination, and delivery of the HSIE curriculum per NESA and CEDB requirements.
• Model and promote Catholic ethos, mission, and values through practice and relationships.
• Foster collaborative teaching practices that improve student learning outcomes.
• Manage faculty programs, assessment schedules, and compliance.
• Support and mentor staff through professional learning and goal setting.
• Analyse student data to drive continuous improvement.
• Manage faculty budgets and resources.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents, and the school community.
