About You

The HSIE Coordinator (2-point) is a temporary leadership role (up to 3 years) with release time, while your full-time teaching position remains permanent. The role focuses on leading teaching excellence and improving learning outcomes across Years 7-12.

As a HSIE Coordinator, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.

To excel in this role, you will be able to:

  • create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students
  • demonstrate sound knowledge and qualifications in developing a 7-12 Curriculum and the application of effective learning pedagogies
  • lead improvement, change and professional development of the HSIE team
  • support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
  • ensure curriculum compliance for HSIE
  • communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all stakeholders
  • demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being
  • integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences
  • a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation
  • Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
