Job summary

Unitywater is seeking an HSEQ Performance Analyst to turn data into actionable insights that improve safety, environment, and quality outcomes. You will collaborate with leaders to shape strategy, build dashboards, and drive continuous improvement across HSEQ systems.

You will analyse data, identify trends and risks, and provide evidence-based recommendations to enhance reporting and governance while partnering with stakeholders at all levels.

About the role:

Are you passionate about turning data into meaningful insights that improve safety, performance and business outcomes? As our HSEQ Performance Analyst, you'll play a critical role in helping Unitywater make informed, evidence-based decisions across Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ). Working closely with leaders and stakeholders across the organisation, you'll transform complex data into actionable insights, identify emerging trends and risks, drive continuous improvement and help shape the future direction of our HSEQ performance. This is an opportunity to combine your analytical expertise, problem-solving capability and stakeholder partnership skills to create a safer, smarter and more sustainable organisation.

In this role, you'll:

• Deliver powerful data insights and reporting, transforming HSEQ data into meaningful analytics, dashboards and performance measures that support strategic decision-making.
• Identify trends, risks and opportunities, using data analysis and research to provide proactive recommendations that strengthen organisational performance.
• Drive continuous improvement across HSEQ systems and reporting, enhancing data quality, reporting frameworks, governance processes and the Integrated Management System.
• Partner with operational leaders and business stakeholders, providing trusted advice, performance insights and evidence-based recommendations that support informed decision-making.
• Lead and contribute to high-impact initiatives and projects, helping improve HSEQ performance, strengthen compliance and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Must have

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, HSEQ, Human Resources or a related discipline.
• Experience in analytics, reporting and performance measurement, including the development of dashboards, metrics and business insights.
• Strong data analysis capability, with advanced Excel skills and the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into meaningful recommendations.
• Experience using Power BI to develop reporting, visualisations and performance insights.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence decision-making and partner effectively across all levels of an organisation.
• Demonstrated project management, problem-solving and continuous improvement skills, with the ability to drive outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present insights and recommendations to diverse audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience within Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ), WHS or operational performance environments.
• Knowledge of SQL, Power Query or DAX.
• Understanding of behavioural safety, safety culture or organisational change initiatives.
• Experience developing and improving management systems, reporting frameworks or governance processes.
• Experience delivering training, capability uplift or business improvement initiatives.
