Job summary

nbn Australia is seeking a Technical Writer for Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) to develop, maintain and improve clear, compliant HSE documentation across the organisation. Qualifications

• The ideal candidate is an experienced technical writing or documentation professional with the ability to develop and maintain controlled management system documentation in complex environments.
• They can translate technical, legislative and operational requirements into clear, practical and user-friendly content, while applying strong written communication, editing and quality assurance skills.
• The role requires effective stakeholder engagement, the ability to gather and validate information from subject matter experts, and a focus on delivering documentation that supports business outcomes, compliance and continuous improvement.
• Experience using digital and AI-enabled tools to enhance content quality, accessibility and document management will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• The Technical Writer works closely with subject matter experts to develop, maintain and improve HSE documentation.
• It translates complex legislative, regulatory and operational requirements into standards, procedures, work instructions and learning resources.
• It contributes to HSE governance, quality assurance and stakeholder engagement.
• It leverages AI and digital tools to enhance content, metadata, searchability and AI-readiness of the HSE Management System.
