Job summary

Score Australasia in Gladstone, Queensland, is seeking an experienced HSE Officer to join our team and help maintain a safe and compliant workplace across Australian operations.

Reporting to the HSE Manager – Asia Pacific, you will conduct risk assessments, HSE audits and training, and have authority to stop unsafe work. National and international travel is required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Cert IV or higher in WHS/HSE or related discipline is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ISO 45001 & AS/NZS 14001 management systems.
• Conduct risk assessments, HSE audits and workplace inspections.
• Manage and investigate incidents and corrective actions.
• Support HSE training and inductions.
• Monitor and report HSE performance, compliance and KPIs.
• Assist with workers' compensation and Return to Work processes.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and company procedures.
• Collaborate with site teams to identify risks and improve HSE performance.
• Have authority to stop unsafe work when required.

Score Australasia is seeking an experienced and proactive HSE Officer to join our team in Gladstone, Queensland.

Reporting to the HSE Manager – Asia Pacific, you will support the business in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace across our Australian operations.

Travel & Flexibility

This role involves national and international travel as required.

The position may also require work outside normal business hours when critical operational requirements or Group requirements arise.

Flexibility to meet these demands is an important part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and support ISO 45001 and AS/NZS 14001 management systems.

Conduct risk assessments, HSE audits and workplace inspections.

Manage and investigate incidents and follow up corrective actions.

Support HSE training, inductions and continuous improvement activities.

Monitor and report HSE performance, compliance and KPIs.

Support workers’ compensation and Return to Work processes.

Ensure compliance with legislation, client requirements and company procedures.

Work closely with site teams and management to identify risks and improve HSE performance.

Have the authority to stop unsafe work where required.

About You

Cert IV or higher in WHS/HSE or a related discipline.

Practical HSE experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Experience with risk management, incident investigations and HSE audits.

Good knowledge of HSE legislation and management systems.

Strong communication, organisation and time-management skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and database systems.

Hands-on, proactive and able to work effectively under pressure.

Willing and available to travel nationally and internationally as required.
