Job summary

Sodexo is seeking an HSE Manager to lead our Queensland operations on a fixed-term six-month basis, reporting to the HSE Lead (East). The role drives health, safety and environmental performance across sites, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement through proactive leadership.

You will mentor HSE Advisors on a FIFO roster, conduct audits and risk assessments, and partner with site teams and clients to foster a strong safety culture while traveling to QLD and SA sites as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in OH&S or related field.
• 3–5 years' experience in HSE roles, preferably in resources, construction or remote services.
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and risk management.
• Proven ability to influence safety culture at all levels.
• Experience leading teams in remote FIFO environments.
• Excellent communication and report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support HSE initiatives aligned with Sodexo and client objectives
• Provide guidance to operational teams and site managers across locations
• Drive a culture of safety and zero harm through engagement and leadership
• Mentor a team of HSE Advisors on a FIFO roster
• Conduct audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
• Ensure compliance with legislation and HSEQ Management Plan
• Support client and stakeholders on HSE matters
