Job summary

Built is looking for an experienced HSE Manager to lead safety on one of Australia’s largest data centre developments at Marsden Park. This pivotal role supports safe delivery as new buildings commence across the precinct.

You will embed Built’s safety framework, manage risk and subcontractor performance, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced construction environment. Collaborating with project teams and senior leaders, you’ll champion a positive safety culture and ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Experience in a HSE role within construction, infrastructure, engineering or another high-risk industry.
• Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale or technically complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, risk management and incident investigation.
• Experience managing subcontractor performance and stakeholder engagement.
• The ability to coach, influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, from frontline teams through to senior leadership.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A practical, adaptable and solutions-focused approach to safety leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead critical risk management, investigations, audits and assurance activities across site operations.
• Embed Built’s HSE framework and ensure effective implementation of project safety plans.
• Manage subcontractor engagement and safety performance across a large and complex project environment.
• Foster strong working relationships across project teams and key stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
• Drive continual improvement through learning, reporting and proactive hazard management.
